Overview
The Jobs Service is provided by NPO.net – an online information resource for the Chicago area nonprofit community. NPO.net was founded in 1995 by several foundations and nonprofits and
now maintained by the Lumity.
The Jobs Service provides nonprofits and government agencies a place to post job announcements at a
low cost . The service is subscription based. With a subscription, an organization may post any number of job announcements during the subscription period. There are no fees for
those viewing the listings.
Recent Statistics
Since the major upgrade to the Jobs Service web site in 2002, anecodotal evidence tells us that users of the site have greatly appreciated the improvements.
We continually hear success stories from organizations using the service in finding their new hires.
At the same time we also made a concerted effort to track certain measurable statistics.
These statistics show us that there has been a significant increase in the use of the NPO.net Jobs Service web site.
Two statistics of particular interest are Average Monthly Job Posts and Average Daily Visitors shown in the table below.

These two statistics show increases in usage of the site from the point of view of both employers and job seekers.
These statistics also show the same sorts of trends seen nationally* where recently there tends to be a dip in the number of job openings in the spring and at the end of the year.

Service Fees (Subscriptions)
The Jobs Service is subscription based. With a subscription, an organization may post any number of job announcements during the subscription period. Subscriptions are priced as
follows:
- Three months for $50.00
- Six months for $80.00
- One year for $150.00
Limitations on the Service
The Jobs Service is focused on jobs in the nonprofit and government sectors. Most job announcements are posted by the organization seeking to fill
the position. There are also a number of search firms that post job announcements. Most jobs are located in the Chicago area; however, postings for other areas are accepted.
